Following the video going viral online, Howard University stripped Diddy of his honorary degree. In November, Cassie filed a lawsuit against him on allegations of physical and sexual abuse, which Diddy denied. They then settled the lawsuit “to mutual satisfaction” a day after it was filed. Meanwhile, the mother of late rap legend The Notorious B.I.G. – who worked closely with Diddy throughout his career – said in May that she wanted to “slap the daylights” out of him.
